The colours of my proof print are different from my screen?
A monitor displays your colours using light mixing (RGB) this gives the colours a wide range and makes them bright. The printer translates this colour information to (CMYK) for use with ink. Ink mixing has a smaller colour range than light mixing. As a result, the print will always be different in colour. Try to work with CMYK files as much as possible for more predictability in the colour and avoid unexpected colour shifting.
The proof print is not correct?
First check your files for sizing and whether the calculation of the spine is correct (right paper?), is the text on the spine in the center? etc. If this is correct, it is due to the proofing process. Because it is not always possible to set up the various machines correctly for one proof print, there can be a little difference. We will setup our machines correctly before producing. If the differences are very big, please let us know.
